GREINPLAST FH

Hydrophobic facade paint

The paint can be applied on the following bases: thin-layer plasters (mineral, polymer, polymer-mineral), "Terabona", concrete, cement, cement-lime, lime-cement, lime plasters etc. The is especially recommended to cover facades that are exposed to intense influence of humidity, and are endangered by the presence of mosses, algae etc. It can also be used to cover already existing paint coatings of the same type, for renovation purposes. It is an optional element of material in Greinplast H insulation systems (according to AT). Available in colours that can be found in Greinplast colour scheme for facade products. Upon the customer’s request, other colour schemes are available.

Packaged in the following containers: 10l/15kg, 5l/7.5kg (white) and 9l/13.5kg, 4.5l/6.75kg (colour).

PREPARATION

Only after suitable preparation of the base and when it has completely dried off, the actual painting works may be commenced. Depending on the base and application conditions (temperature, air humidity, absorbability and type of the base etc.). The manufacturer allows the addition of 20% Greinplast UX preparation to the paint when the first layer is painted, and up to 10%, when subsequent layers are painted. The volume of the preparation to be added should be identical for each package. The paint needs to be agitated directly before its application. The paint can be applied by a painting brush, however, the manufacturer recommends its application with a roller or with a high-pressure spraying unit. It is recommended that two layers should be applied. Intensive colours, with high tint saturation, do not always offer full coverage, therefore, it might be necessary to apply another layer. The consumption is dependant on the painting method, type, absorbability and texture of the base. In order to avoid colour differences, on one working surface paints from a single batch should be used, and applied in a single cycle, following the “wet on wet” method.

Recommendations and remarks

The ambient temperature during the paint application and drying should be between +5°C and +30°C. The optimal application temperature is +20°C. The painted surfaces should be protected against excessive sunlight, rain and wind until they are completely dry. Changeable atmospheric conditions during paint application may result in differences in paint shades. Enclosed areas should be aired until the characteristic smell disappears. The product contains additives that can act aggressively on metal, glass and wooden surfaces; therefore, surfaces exposed to staining with paint should be secured; if, however, stains do occur, remove them before they dry off.
Information contained in the manual help ensure the optimal use of the product, however, it does not create any legal liability of the Manufacturer, due to the fact that the conditions of use remain outside of its control. We do not accept any responsibility if the material is combined with products from other Manufacturers.
