Clinker mortar

Used in the erection of clinker brick walls, and in the placement of so-called "face bricks" in single- and multi-storey buildings, both outside and inside of buildings. The addition of trass cement reduces the likelihood of so-called lime efflorescences to be formed. The product is classified as a general-purpose, masonry mortar for clinker (G type), with compression strength at a category min. M10 (> 5,0 MPa).

Packaged in 25kg containers.

PREPARATION

Preparation of mortar: Empty the mortar package (25kg) into ca. 4,0-5.0 l of clean water and stir until a smooth mass without lumps is obtained. Mortar consistency should be selected according to the type of intended works, materials used, base and weather conditions. Adding too much water may result in worsening of strength parameters. When the mortar thickens, stir it again without adding water.
Brick-laying: Apply the mortar onto the base with a trowel, the laid elements should be slightly pressed and levelled, and excess mortar removed.

Recommendations and remarks

The temperature of the base and its surroundings during the mortar application and drying should be between +5°C and +30°C. The optimal application temperature is +20°C. The specified processing times may be subject to considerable variations under the influence of adverse thermal and moisture conditions. Walls should be protected against rain and excessive sunlight for 7 days after the completion of works. Tools should be washed with water directly after the completion of works.
