Plaster mortar - manual
Used to lay traditional cement-lime plasters manually, on I-II surface categories, inside and outside buildings. The product is classified as general-purpose plaster mortar (GP type), with compression strength of CS II category (1.5-5.0 N/mm2) and W0 water absorption category. It can be used after the previous placement of a priming layer (so-called rough coat), made with Greinplast ZTP mortar.
Packaged in 25kg containers.
Preparation of mortar: Empty the package (25kg) into ca. 5.0-5.5 l of clean water and stir until a smooth mass without lumps is obtained. Mortar consistency should be selected according to the type of intended works, base and weather conditions. Attention should be paid so that water is not added in excess, as this may worsen the plaster strength parameters. When the mortar thickens, stir it again without adding water.
Plaster application: Apply the mortar evenly over the entire surface, and then smoothen it with a trowel or floating rule. Collect excess mortar. The time when float-finish should begin, should be established on an experimental basis. Do not allow excess drying of the surface; if necessary, sprinkle some water onto it. Depending on the type of the final texture, EPS, wooden or metal trowels can be used to float-finish. Plaster made in this way should be protected against excessive drying, as this may cause surface shrinking and cracks.
